Track and Trace Systems adhere to a five-tier model, where each of the levels described below is interconnected and meets in a tree structure:
  • LEVEL 1 : Defines the structure and manages the material of the serialization/aggregation system integrated with the machines used in the Process Tracking.
  • Level 2 : Defines the structure and manages the serialization/aggregation system at the production line level at Inventory Management Software (a level 2 manages one or more levels 1).
  • Level 3 : Defines the structure and manages the serialization/aggregation system & RFID Tracking System at the production plant level (a level 3 manages one or more levels 2).
  • Level 4 : Defines the structure and manages the serialization/aggregation system of WIP Tracking at the enterprise level (a level 4 manages one or more levels 3).
  • Level 5 : Defines the structure and manages the serialization/aggregation system at an external level, primarily to allow external access to data (drug treatment agencies, logistics operators, hospitals, etc.).Work in Progress tracking software. (a Level 5 receives information from a single level 4).
