SURAJ INFORMATICS’ Crane OCR automatically recognizes the details of containers and equipment during loading and unloading landing operations.
The STS Crane handles everything with our fully integrated Crane OCR System, which automatically reads and registers the ISO code of containers. To activate and process data, the Crane OCR System communicates with the Crane Program Logic Control (PLC) system. The crane control system communicates with the advanced image seizure and identification system, which is installed on the crane itself.
One of the most noticeable benefits of Crane Management Service or OCR installation on cranes is a significant reduction in the number of workers operating beneath the cranes, which is one of the most dangerous jobs in the terminal.
Crane OCR’s Advantages
During vessel loading and discharge operations, SURAJ INFORMATICS’ Crane OCR catches every container movement automatically. The powerful image capture and identification technology is mounted directly on the crane and features a user-friendly interface for real-time management of any exceptions. By making transaction and container details available in real-time, terminal operators gain the following benefits:
Boosted Transaction Accuracy and Velocity: By removing data input and/or task confirmations, transaction accuracy and velocity are increased, resulting in higher throughput and improved container inventory accuracy. Operators have the opportunity to make data entry mistakes and cause errors.
Workplace safety: Physical inspections are not necessary for the berth area, no clerks are required to acquire container positions in the event of stack errors, and fewer clerks are required to operate under heavy machinery.
Centralized Control: Using automatic checker information capture, one can migrate to a centrally controlled exception-based process.
Damage Archiving: For each transaction, both incoming and outbound, the container conditions are preserved as proof for any future claim handling.
Crane OCR works with PASS Navigator GOS to enable daily remote processing monitoring and exception reporting. In summary, Container OCR Solutions enabled port operators to reap benefits such as higher crane efficiency and productivity, lower future maintenance costs, and assure network uptime by allowing them to visualize remote container OCR system status anytime, anywhere.
